Identity

"The body is a unit, and though it is made up of many parts; and though all of its parts are many, they form one body.  So it is with Christ."  (I Corinthians 12:12)

Our church family is composed of imperfect individuals, sinners who have been forgiven, ("Christians under construction"), each having his/her own unique personality.  Some of us are bold and talkative, some are quiet and reserved.  We each have our own way of praying, worshipping and serving the Lord, but the Holy Spirit has shown us how to do these things as a family.  By grace, the Lord has placed us together to carry out the Great Commission.  It is our common faith in the Lord Jesus and His love at work in our hearts that makes us a church.  Every individual is important.  Each one has a special talent to give to our total ministry.  There is still plenty of room (and love) in our hearts for you.  We invite you to come, get to know Christ and help us make Him known to others.

We are a Baptist church and share the same basic traditional beliefs and convictions that are common to all Baptists.  Like all Baptist churches, our church is autonomous, free and competent to govern its own affairs under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and is not directred by denominational mandates or subject to denominational authority.

As an autonomous congregation, we have made a voluntary commitment to fellowship, worship and work with all the chirstian churches of the Walton area that will accept us.  We also have voluntarily aligned ourselves for worship, prayer, fellowship and cooperative witness and mission with the American Baptist churches of New York State and the American Baptist churches of the USA.
